I would prefer to use Living Beings than the Human Race.
Human Race is still subjected to differentiating oneself with another by the differences in one's body
Not just the Human Race, all other fauna as well as flora also have souls.
That means, a soul that has an avatar of a human should also respect the soul that has an avatar of a bug.
With that, the world would be a better place.

I have once asked a Zen Master who visited KYCL this question.
If a mosquito bites you, what will you do?
The Zen Master says let her bite.

I ponder about that question and interpreted that this is the effect of Karma.
One of my previous bodies could have treated one of this mosquito's previous bodies badly that it has now come and bite my current body.
Or, one of this mosquito's previous body could be one of my previous bodies close related relative like a mother that has care for me when I am young and it is normal that this present body should feed the one once care for me in my previous body.

What happened if this is an aedes mosquito?
If that is the case, one may perceived this also as karma or even the balanced of life.
My thought about 'Soul' is that each soul's sole objective is to improve the world living being live in.
So some souls create good while other souls destroy to balance nature.
The soul uses both the mind and the body as a tool to perform good actions.
The mind should consult the soul before instructing the body to perform any action.
If the mind did not consult the soul, actions that are perform by the body may be harmful to the world.
So all souls are good and minds that are independent from the soul is bad.
The body is just a tool that protects and is used by the soul.

So for the aedes mosquito, through the influence of a soulless mind (a mind that is independent),
a body, say a human body could have polluted a water supply with rubbish.
As a result, the water supply gets dirty and this breed the dangerous aedes mosquitoes.
The soul in this mosquito wasted this human body with dengue and this help restore the water supply since this human body can no longer pollute.
So all souls are good and if everyone can see every body as soul and respect them, the world will be a better place.

So what happened if this human body is your child?
One should respect the Karma and move on.
Never let the mind control the body, it can kill.
