An Old Woman, Your Best Friend and Your Dream Girl

You are driving your 2 seater battery-powered buggy on a stormy evening round a remote area. In front of a buggy stop you saw three people. A sickly skinny old lady lying on a cardboard bed, your best friend who once saved your life and the lady(man) of your dreams. Your buggy is only strong enough to carry one more passenger. Who will you pick?

I post my views in April.

The Fisherman's Story

A boat docked in a tiny Mexican village.

An American tourist complimented the Mexican fisherman on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took him to catch them.

“Not very long,” answered the Mexican.

“But then, why didn’t you stay out longer and catch more?” asked the American.

The Mexican explained that his small catch was sufficient to meet his needs and those of his family.

The American asked, “But what do you do with all your time?”

“I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, and take a siesta with my wife. In the evenings, I go into the village to see my friends, have a few drinks, play the guitar, and sing a few songs…I have a full life.”

The American interrupted, “I have an MBA from Harvard and I can help you!

You should start by fishing longer every day. You can then sell the extra fish you catch. With the extra revenue, you can buy a bigger boat. With the extra money the larger boat will bring, you can buy a second one and a third one and so on until you have an entire fleet of trawlers.

Instead of selling your fish to a middle man, you can negotiate directly with the processing plants and maybe even open your own plant.”

“You can then leave this little village and move to Mexico City, Los Angeles, or even New York City! From there you can direct your huge enterprise.”

“How long would that take?” asked the Mexican.

“Twenty, perhaps twenty-five years,” replied the American. “And after that?”

“Afterwards? That’s when it gets really interesting,” answered the American, laughing. “When your business gets really big, you can start selling stock and make millions!”

“Millions? Really? And after that?”

“After that — and this is the best part — you’ll be able to retire, live in a tiny village near the coast, sleep late, catch a few fish, take a siesta, and spend your evenings drinking and enjoying your friends!”

The Best Month

I had trouble getting over this month. Firstly I cannot focus, which affected my meditation, my driving, my dealings with my love ones, my studies, my trading and mostly my confidence. Scenarios after scenarios are placed infront of me to test my reactions to them and largely I failed. What I did does not complement what I have been writing in my blog.

Everything I wrote in the blog is what I want to be. I thought I am there. I thought I was ready and unknowingly, this month came and tested me out. I failed and I realized I have alot more to learn. I got to pick myself up again so that I can prepare for another month like this and overcome every other month.

Just like the best friend is the friend who tells you your flaws, the best month is the month that let you realized your shortcomings.

OSO Special

This is a kid show that is broadcast in Disney Channel, I think. I don't really pay attention much about this show but without fail, the yellow panda will say this, "It's part of the plan". This phrase always follows after a hiccup occurs during
his mission. That statement has alot of meaning and these are my views: -
1. Everything happens for a reason
2. Hiccups occurs and one should not be dejected but instead take it as part and parcel of life. They are there to test your strength, your will and most of all, let you refined your plan and hence make it better than good.
3. The Universe plan everything and hiccups are part of it. Universe put them there because Universe still find ways that you can make what you are attempting to do better.
