Who am I

The purest thing in any space and time, nameless but known as the soul by man, moving from body to body seeking enlightenment and end sufferings.

Every new body I enter is pure and keeping the body pure is my sole responsibility. Everyone can experience the true soul nature by being on the day a baby is born. As the body ages, it will encounter many events that will form its base (i.e. How it react) depending on how the body's mind interpret the event. If it interpret the event as bad, it will have negative thoughts and vice versa. All thought will determine its destiny. Positive thoughts brings enlightenment closer. Every bad event has a silver lining to learn from and hence all events has something to positive to offer. One just has to see the positive nature of events happening to them. All events occurred purely to test which is the purest soul to be chosen for enlightenment.

ESBI

The ESBI quadrant is defined in the book Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kyosaki. E is for Employee, S for Self Employed, B for Business and I for Investor. Rich Dad claims that the highest return falls in the 2 right quadrant. And between B and I, there is pros an cons.

As an employee, one has to face the boss, boss's customers, deal with suppliers and contractors etc to get the monthly salary which is usually small in comparison.

As a self employed, one has to face customers, deal with suppliers and contractors, employee etc to make his earnings.

So to avoid having to face customers, report to a boss or deal with suppliers, the B and I quadrants are the way to go.

Being a business owner, one may need alot of cash to own businesses like Warren. However as an investor, one still need cash but not as much as a business owner. So think about which quadrant you want to build your future.

Longer lifespan

How can you improve your lifespan? If I want to live longer, I would choose a tortoise body.

The Mosquito

I once asked a Zen Master who visited KYCL if a mosquito bites the hand what will he do? He replied "just let her bite".

What is the mosquito thinking when she bites? Survival. She needs to survive by feeding on blood and as long as the victim has blood, she will feed. Nothing else transpire in her mind, just pure thoughts on how to survive.

What will you do if you are that mosquito that has a human mind. Probably blood is not in your menu? If you needed blood, you probably select your victim? But you are not brought up by human parents and you have only 7 weeks to live. So if put yourself in the mosquito body, you will probably do the same. So will you kill it if it bites you then?

Thugs

If you are confronted by 10 thugs for whatever reasons or even no reasons and they want to hurt you, what will you do?

First, try running away. If you are outrun, identify the weakest one, focus on that one and only one with all your strength. Do something really unexpected like purposely mistakenly that person has some sort of relationship with you to create distraction else attack that unfortunate one, hold him hostage as a shield from the rest and delay as much time for help to arrive. You can't possibly fight all of them but focusing on just one should be much easier to handle.

Tan Kin Lian's Blog: How does believing we are souls help us in our daily lives?

Tan Kin Lian's Blog: How does believing we are souls help us in our daily lives?

Comments :

I would prefer to use Living Beings than the Human Race.
Human Race is still subjected to differentiating oneself with another by the differences in one's body
Not just the Human Race, all other fauna as well as flora also have souls.
That means, a soul that has an avatar of a human should also respect the soul that has an avatar of a bug.
With that, the world would be a better place.

I have once asked a Zen Master who visited KYCL this question.
If a mosquito bites you, what will you do?
The Zen Master says let her bite.

I ponder about that question and interpreted that this is the effect of Karma.
One of my previous bodies could have treated one of this mosquito's previous bodies badly that it has now come and bite my current body.
Or, one of this mosquito's previous body could be one of my previous bodies close related relative like a mother that has care for me when I am young and it is normal that this present body should feed the one once care for me in my previous body.

What happened if this is an aedes mosquito?
If that is the case, one may perceived this also as karma or even the balanced of life.
My thought about 'Soul' is that each soul's sole objective is to improve the world living being live in.
So some souls create good while other souls destroy to balance nature.
The soul uses both the mind and the body as a tool to perform good actions.
The mind should consult the soul before instructing the body to perform any action.
If the mind did not consult the soul, actions that are perform by the body may be harmful to the world.
So all souls are good and minds that are independent from the soul is bad.
The body is just a tool that protects and is used by the soul.

So for the aedes mosquito, through the influence of a soulless mind (a mind that is independent),
a body, say a human body could have polluted a water supply with rubbish.
As a result, the water supply gets dirty and this breed the dangerous aedes mosquitoes.
The soul in this mosquito wasted this human body with dengue and this help restore the water supply since this human body can no longer pollute.
So all souls are good and if everyone can see every body as soul and respect them, the world will be a better place.

So what happened if this human body is your child?
One should respect the Karma and move on.
Never let the mind control the body, it can kill.
